To say the Terps dominated the Hoosiers would be an understatement. The Terps swept the Hoosiers outscoring them 43-12 in the three games. Nick Dean, Kyle McCoy, and Kenny Lippman were the three pitchers that earned the wins in the series. Dean went seven innings striking out ten batters and only giving up two runs on five hits. McCoy went seven innings as well only giving up one run on five hits. Jason Savacool got the start for the Terps in the third game but only pitched five innings after giving up seven runs. The Terps would take the lead with Lippman in who pitched one inning striking out three batters after giving up a walk. The Terps hit nine total home runs on the weekend. Shaw led the team on the weekend with three of his own. Lambros hit two of his own while Ian Petrutz, Nick Lorusso, Shliger, and Woods all had one of their own. In game one, Shaw led the team with three RBIs. In game two, Woods led the team with four RBIs. Lambros led the team with three RBIs in game three. The Terps had a midweek game against the Delaware Blue Hens to try and keep their hot bats alive, and they indeed did just that. The Terps beat the Blue Hens 19-7 after scoring seven in the first inning. Lorusso and Petrutz both hit home runs on the day. Petrutz and Orr both led the team with four RBIs in the massive offensive effort. Van Buren would be the one coming away with the win after pitching five innings, giving up just two runs on five hits, although the Terps bullpen had a rough time giving up five runs in four innings but was still able to give the Terps the twelve-run win. https://twitter.com/TerpsBaseball/status/1654252697552297987 The Terps will be taking on Nebraska for their weekend series at home this weekend.
