2025 four-star RB Iverson Howard shares latest on visits

Much of the recruiting attention has centered around the 2024 class with official visit season around the corner, but 2025 Quince Orchard (MD) four-star Iverson Howard has watched himself become an early priority for several Power Five programs as the 5-foot-10, 180-pound running back looks to solidify his name on the national stage.

“I definitely want to get that Gatorade Player of the Year and another state championship,” Howard told IBG.

Boston College, Georgia, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Ole Miss, Penn State, West Virginia and Wisconsin are among the schools that have already extended offers to the in-state target. Howard was able to visit both Penn State and Maryland this spring while his most recent visit was to Michigan last week.

The Nittany Lions have positioned themselves well with the MoCo powerhouse and with one alum already in the program and another four-star in Jaylen Harvey considering them, Howard has kept his eye on Penn State. “They’re working on me a lot. [Chop] loves it up there so he’s trying to get me up there.”

Howard was able to visit Maryland twice this spring and he already knows he’s a priority target in College Park.

“They’re definitely working. They told me I’m their number one recruit for 2025. Coach [James Thomas], he comes down there a lot. It feels like he’s there every week,” Howard added. “I’ve watched their running backs a lot. They show they run the ball a lot so I like that. I got a chance to sit down with coach [Latrell] Scott. I really like him

Howard is looking to return to both Maryland and Penn State this spring and with a potential return visit to Ann Arbor in the cards, the four-star product looks to visit Michigan State after the Spartans offered last month. Howard is also looking to visit Georgia this summer.

Howard is rated a four-star prospect and a 91 overall by On3, sitting as the fourth-best prospect in Maryland in the 2025 class.
