Young Terps: Maryland slips for second straight loss, recruits take in College Park

Welcome back to the latest episode of Young Terps where we dive into a tale of two halves in College Park on Sunday, but ultimately ending in the second home loss for Maryland in 2024.

Maryland was able to claw back from as many as 15 points to take a lead midway through the second half, but the offense was hindered by turnovers as a turnover by Jahmir Young on the game’s final possession sealed the fate for the Terps.

“They do a great job on getting into gaps. I thought we over penetrated three or four times or five or six times that got us into trouble and then got them on the brake. So it’s something that I think is we had been doing a good job but when your starting backcourt has 11 turnovers that’s just tough to overcome,” head coach Kevin Willard said following the game.

On this episode of Young Terps, we dive into:

  • the lone bright spot of the first half
  • the catalyst for Maryland’s comeback efforts
  • What can Kevin Willard salvage from this season?
  • recruits take in College Park
