Visit shakeup for local lineman heading into June

Loyola Blakefield (MD) three-star offensive lineman Trevor Szymanski has been keeping his regional suitors in play heading into official visits next month, but the 6-foot-4, 285-pound lineman has switched up his schedule and is now looking at two schools to officially visit. Szymanski was originally planning on officially visiting Pittsburgh this upcoming weekend, but with his older brother and Maryland signee AJ Szymanski set to graduate, that visit has been postponed. Szymanski's first visit will likely be a return trip to College Park as he tells IBG he's in the process of scheduling his official visit for next weekend, June 9. Szymanski is also in the process of finalizing his official visit with Syracuse for the weekend of June 16 with a decision as soon as late July in the cards for the local lineman. Maryland has long been the team to beat for Szymanski, who has kept a close eye on Maryland ever since drawing interest from former assistant Mike Miller last spring, while offensive line coach Brian Braswell has resumed efforts. “I like him a lot. He’s a really good coach. Me and him are really close. I’ve already talked to coach Braswell about questions that I had and all of that,” Szymanski said last month. Szymanski is rated a three-star prospect and an 87 overall by On3, sitting as the 27th-best prospect in Maryland.
