Head coach Buzz Williams has his second commitment of the transfer portal window in the fold after Oklahoma State transfer forward Robert Jennings II announced his transfer to Maryland men’s basketball.
Jennings, a 6-foot-7, 230-pound forward, joins the program with one year of eligibility remaining while he joins former New Mexico forward Tomislav Buljan in the frontcourt.
This marks the third stop in Jennings’s college career after becoming a rotational piece since his freshman year. Jennings averaged just 8.8 minutes as a true freshman at Texas Tech before deciding to enter the portal, giving the former Maryland staff a chance to recruit him with Maryland in his final five, before ultimately returning to Lubbock for a second season. Yet Jennings averaged just 4.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in 12.4 minutes, leading him to hit the transfer portal once more where he averaged 5.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in 16.5 minutes while starting every game at Oklahoma State in 2024-25.
Jennings then played just three games in 2025-26 before Oklahoma State ruled him out for the remainder of the season due to a lingering hip injury. He then elected to enter the transfer portal on April 7 before heading to the Big Ten.
The veteran forward now heads to College Park as a key part of rebuilding the frontcourt with Elijah Saunders and Collin Metcalf both departing, along with Solomon Washington and his production on the glass.
Jennings is rated as the 83rd-best power forward and 367th prospect nationally in On3's transfer portal rankings.
