Taulia Tagovailoa headed to second NFC West team

Former Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa is headed to his second NFC West team as he looks to find a home in the NFL. Taulia Tagovailoa has accepted an invite to the Arizona Cardinals rookie camp this week, per Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, in his second attempt to crack into the league. Tagovailoa spent last weekend at the Seattle Seahawks rookie minicamp where he battled with former San Jose State QB Chevan Cordeiro, who was already signed to the Seahawks as a UDFA. It's unclear whether Tagovailoa is the lone quarterback invited to Arizona's upcoming rookie camp as the Cardinals already return Kyler Murray and 2023 fifth-round pick Clayton Tune, while the front office traded for former Atlanta QB Desmond Ridder this offseason. After going undrafted during last month's draft, speculation whether Taulia would land in Miami with his brother, Tua, remained as Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel confirmed the former Maryland quarterback was on their draft board. Tua, meanwhile, wanted his younger brother to go where he'd fit. "Tua lobbies for the person and the player, but Tua is not a hoarder of his family members. He wants him to go in the best situation. He's a good kid," McDaniels said after the 2024 NFL Draft. Tagovailoa ended his Maryland career as the Big Ten's all-time passing leader (3,377) while completing 66.4% of his passes and looks to be the latest Terp looking to secure a roster spot in their rookie season after Jeshaun Jones, Beau Brade, Corey Bullock, Gottlieb Ayedze and Tyrese Chambers found homes following last month's draft.
