St. Frances Four-Star Will Officially Visit Maryland

Maryland will have a handful of targets on campus for official visits this weekend and the staff added a local target into the mix.

St. Frances (MD) four-star defensive end Dashawn Womack tweeted that he will officially visit Maryland this weekend.

Maryland hosted nearly the entire St. Frances team in batches back in early March with Womack and four-star Isaiah Neal among the first to step on campus. The Terps are recruiting Womack as a JACK linebacker with inside linebacker coach Lance Thompson leading the charge with defensive coordinator Brian Williams chipping in. "“We had a good talk. To me, I think the relationship is going in the right way," the 6-foot-4, 250-pound defensive end said of his relationship with Thompson. Womack was able to meet with head coach Mike Locksley on his last trip. “He’s straight-up forward with me. Keeps it real,” he said back in March.

Womack officially visited Georgia earlier this month and previously took a two-day unofficial visit to LSU. The four-star product released a top ten with Auburn, Boston College, Georgia, LSU, Maryland, Michigan, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Temple in the mix back on April 22. Meanwhile, four-star defensive tackle Isaiah Neal will officially visit Maryland the weekend of June 17.

Womack is rated a four-star prospect and a 95 overall by On3, sitting as the top prospect in Maryland and the ninth-best edge rusher in the country.
