Preview: Maryland basketball welcomes No. 24 Ohio State

Their last loss comes off the heels of a 20-turnover game and a 15-point performance from Rutgers Scarlet Knights guard Paul Mulcahy. They'll have another tough test at home with the No. 24 Ohio State Buckeyes coming into town. They nearly beat the No.1 Purdue Boilermakers, but Zach Edey's 16 points and 11 rebounds made an impact on the game. His final assist on a Fletcher Loyer three-pointer sealed it. The talent that the big ten has to offer is strong, and the Terps will be up against a very talented freshman forward in Brice Sensabaugh, who is their leading scorer with 15.9 points per game and the best three-point shooter at 46 percent. Zed Key is their tough front-court leader who averages 13.4 ppg and 8.4 rebounds per game. He may not be available Sunday after suffering a sprained shoulder in the first quarter of the Purdue game. While the Terps shot much better from the field and the perimeter against the Scarlet Knights, they will need to clean up the turnovers against Ohio State. Early turnovers kill momentum and prevent a team from staying in games. "In our losses, we have 45 assists, 75 turnovers, and for an undersized team to be giving the ball away as much as we're giving it away, we're doing a lot of self-induced, self-induced wounds," Kevin Willard said about the turnovers. "I think what we talked about more and really watched all our turnovers was just making sure we just take a little bit better chance the ball and at least getting a shot up because our defense is still pretty darn good. We just can't hurt ourselves. When you're small at every position you just can't be given free possessions away and that's what we're doing right now."
