The final addition on Maryland men's basketball's 2026-27 roster has officially materialized.
Former Boston guard Michael McNair has announced his transfer to Maryland, giving head coach Buzz Williams one last piece to round out the 2026-27 roster.
McNair, a 6-foot-5, 185-pound guard, arrives in College Park with one year of eligibility remaining.
After playing nearly eight minutes per game as a freshman, McNair proved to be a big-time scorer after averaging double figures scoring over his last two seasons while shooting at least 40% from three. McNair is coming off a 2025-26 season where he averaged 16.9 points per game on nearly 48% shooting from the field and 45% shooting from three, ending his tenure with Boston as a First Team All-Patriot Team selection.
McNair becomes the latest piece in Maryland's upgraded backcourt with DJ Wagner and Bishop Boswell set to arrive, while Andre Mills is set to return for year two.
