After hitting the 100 days away mark from the season opener this weekend, Maryland men’s basketball announced the non-conference schedule for the 2025-26 season on Monday.
Maryland previously announced its season opener vs. Coppin State in Baltimore would be followed by its home opener vs. Georgetown on Nov. 7, but the program will also square off against UMBC in an exhibition to mark the first chance for fans to watch head coach Buzz Williams and his new-look team.
Oct. 27: UMBC (exhibition)
Nov. 3: Coppin State (Baltimore)
Nov. 7: Georgetown
Nov. 11 Alcorn State
Nov. 15: at Marquette
Nov. 19: Mount St. Mary’s
Nov. 24: UNLV (Las Vegas)
Nov. 25: Gonzaga (Las Vegas)
Nov. 26/27: TBA (Las Vegas)
Dec. 2: Wagner
Dec. 20: at Virginia
Dec. 28: at Old Dominion
While the Marquette matchup will complete the home-and-home series, Maryland’s matchup against Georgetown marks the first since 2016 when Kevin Huerter cemented a comeback win in DC, giving the Terps a 38-27 lead in the all-time series. Maryland will also matchup against its border rival, Virginia, in the first matchup since 2018 as the Terps look for their first win since March 9, 2014 - the program's final regular-season game in the ACC.
Maryland will now await its finalized Big Ten slate, though the conference already announced opponents for the upcoming season. Maryland will host Indiana, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue and Washington this season. They’ll also travel to face Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, UCLA, USC, Wisconsin. The lone conference opponents that Maryland will face twice include Illinois, Iowa and Rutgers.
Season tickets for the 2025-26 season are now on sale starting as low as $199. Fans can purchase tickets at www.UMTerps.com, by calling the XFINITY Center Ticket Office (301-314-7060), or visiting the Ticket Office on Monday through Friday between 9 AM and 4 PM.
