Maryland’s first nationally televised game comes in week two, the first of two consecutive night kickoffs, as they welcome Charlotte and first-year head coach Biff Poggi to College Park. This will mark Maryland’s first game broadcast on NBC since 2011 when Notre Dame defeated Maryland 45-21. Maryland will then welcome Virginia for Friday Night Lights for a 7 PM kickoff on FS1, marking the 78th all-time meeting between the border foes. Maryland kicks off conference play with a 3:30 PM kickoff in East Lansing before traveling to Ohio State the next week. The week seven matchup against Illinois marks Maryland’s homecoming weekend. More via release: The 2023 season marks the first season with a new set of broadcast partners for the Big Ten that will deliver exciting matchups to fans across broadcast, cable and direct-to-consumer platforms.
