Game Times, TV Info Released for Five Maryland Football Games

Maryland football is officially 100 days away from the start of year four under head coach Mike Locksley and the start of the 2022 season.
Nearly exactly one month since Maryland and head coach Mike Locksley announced an extension, Maryland announced game times for five games this fall, starting with the home opener on September 3 vs. Buffalo.

In addition to Homecoming, Maryland has also finalized plans to hold Family Weekend when the Terps host Purdue on October 8 and the Military Appreciation Game is set for November 19 when Ohio State visits Maryland Stadium. Game times and television information for those two games, and the remainder of the schedule, will be announced in the weeks leading up to each game.
The season-opener will mark the first ever meeting between Maryland and Buffalo, a program that features an abundance of DMV talent In quarterback Brian Plummer, linebacker James Patterson and safety Dylan Powell among others. The Terps will hit the road the following week in the first matchup against Charlotte, but week three’s matchup against SMU will pose a threat even at home. The Mustangs have loaded up the roster this offseason through the transfer portal, adding linebacker Kamryn Farrar, former Georgia offensive tackle Owen Condon, former Alabama running back Camar Wheaton, former Mississippi State receiver Theodore Knox and a pair of former Longhorns in defensive end former David Abiara and receiver Kelvontay Dixon among others. Maryland is 2-0 against SMU all-time, though the first matchup was back in 1961 before the two rematched in 1962.
