Four Terps invited to the 2024 NFL Combine in Indy

Maryland will look to produce multiple draft picks for the third consecutive season under head coach Mike Locksley as four players will have an additional chance to boost their draft stock ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft. Per release, Offensive lineman Gottlieb Ayedze, safety Beau Brade, offensive lineman DJ Glaze and cornerback Tarheeb Still have been invited to the 2024 NFL Combine, which begins Feb. 26 and runs through March 4 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Maryland has now sent 11 players to the NFL Combine over the last two seasons, while the four Terps in attendance are tied for the fifth-most among all Big Ten schools. Brade and Still will be up on Friday, March 1 among the defensive backs and tight ends with Ayedze and Glaze suiting up with the offensive linemen and specialists on Sunday, March 3. Brade enters February as the consensus top selection among this year's Terps as NFL.com projected Brade as a third-round selection in Monday's updated three-round mock draft, the latest outlet to project Brade to come off the board to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 89th overall pick. Brade started all 12 games he was available in 2023 and led Maryland's defense in tackles in each of the last two seasons. Glaze, the prize of the offseason in terms of stay-or-go decisions, started every game at left tackle in 2023 while Ayedze became the starting right tackle beginning in Big Ten play. Still, a second-team All-Big Ten selection, ranked tied for third nationally in interceptions per game (0.5) after becoming a consistent piece in the rotation during his four-year career. While Maryland will send four to the combine, its former starting quarterback won't be in attendance as Taulia Tagovailoa wasn't among the 14 quarterbacks invited. After his waiver for a sixth season was denied, Tagovailoa flashed in the Shrine Bowl earlier this month where he finished 9-of-14 for 142 yards and one rushing touchdown. The NFL Combine will be broadcast on NFL Network and NFL+ while the 2024 NFL Draft is set for April 25-27 in Detroit.
