Shell-N-Tell: The “Will” To Win

Welcome back to another episode of Shell-N-Tell, recapping ‘The Will to Win’ after a busy weekend of Maryland athletics.

We revisit the unexpectedly close showdown versus Ohio State inside The Shell. Maryland was able to largely keep it a one possession game, but is the fallout positive takeaways or moral victories? We break it down. Plus, we look ahead to senior week versus the Rutgers Scarlet Knights as Maryland looks to end its three-game slide and finish 5-2 at SECU Stadium.

We shift our attention to the hardwood where head coach Kevin Willard becomes the first head coach in Maryland basketball history to start 5-0 in his career, and he’s done so in a convincing fashion. After cruising through the first three games with consecutive 20-plus point wins, Maryland dominated once more en route to the Hall of Fame Tipoff Championship. What’s been most impressive about the start? Has Willard earned an ‘A+’ through this early stage of his tenure? We break down the newly-ranked Maryland basketball squad, who checked in at 23rd in the updated AP rankings and 25th in the coaches poll.
