Phoebus (VA) three-star defensive lineman Anthony Reddick has announced his commitment to Maryland with new running backs coach Latrell Scott landing his first target.
Maryland initially offered Reddick when former assistant Zohn Burden was with the program while receivers coach Gunter Brewer picked up his recruitment last year. With Scott bringing his longtime ties to Virginia, Reddick gives the Terps their first local commitment of the cycle.
Reddick visited Maryland last month for spring practice as he and Scott were able to build on the relationship. “He was recruiting me when he was at . We’re still trying to build a better relationship. We were talking a bit when he was at ECU but now we’re really talking, just building,” Reddick added.
Reddick fits as an outside linebacker in Maryland’s class. He joins linebacker Justin Okoronkwo, athlete Terek McCant and cornerback Lakhi Roland in the fold. Reddick is rated a three-star and 88 overall by On3, sitting as the 14th-best prospect in Virginia.
