TV info and kickoff details for Maryland football’s week six matchup vs. Washington, which also serves as Family Weekend, have officially been set.
Maryland will kickoff against Washington at 3:30 PM on BTN, per the Big Ten.
This will mark the second time the two teams have met, but the first time as Big Ten teams. Washington took down Maryland, 21-20, in the 1982 Aloha Bowl in Hawaii to close the first season under former head coach Bobby Ross.
Washington opened the season with wins over Colorado State and UC Davis before dominating Washington State, 59-24, to take the Apple Cup back home. The Huskies will look to remain perfect when they host top-ranked Ohio State this weekend for a 3:30 PM kickoff on CBS.
Maryland, meanwhile, will enjoy its first of two bye weekends in week five as head coach Mike Locksley looks to keep his team on track with the chance of picking up his first win with Maryland in games immediately after the bye.
“I felt like we came into the game really confident,” head coach Mike Locksley said after the win. “We talked about how making the investment all we could all we could ever ask for is our best. And I told our players very early in the week that it wouldn't take your work efforts to win a game like this. It just takes every individual in our program giving their best, investing their best for one week. I saw a bunch of guys really put the time and work in Monday through Friday, the mental preparation. I saw a bunch of people, including our staff, do their jobs of making it an easy transition of going on the road. And we played really well early, but still, there's so much room to grow.”
