Details of Maryland football's week six home game have been announced by the Big Ten with Nebraska headed to College Park for a 3:30 PM kickoff on BTN.
Nebraska has won two of the three all-time matchups between the two schools, though it was Maryland who went into Lincoln to pull out a 13-10 win in 2023 to secure bowl eligibility. Nebraska won the lone matchup in College Park, a 54-7 win to close out the home slate in year one of the Mike Locksley era.
The Huskers opened the season with a narrow 20-17 win over Cincinnati at Arrowhead before taking down Akron and Houston Christian by a combined score of 127-7, but fell in their Big Ten home opener vs. 21st-ranked Michigan, 30-27, in week four. Nebraska is coming off their first bye of the season as they prepare to face Michigan State at home for a 4 PM kickoff on Saturday.
Like Nebraska, Maryland is also coming off their first bye of the season and drawing votes in consecutive weeks in both the updated AP and coaches poll. Maryland will host Washington this weekend and look to move to 5-0 for just the second time since 2001, though head coach Mike Locksley guided his team to an identical start in 2023 behind a veteran quarterback and rising defense.
