Maryland will look stay undefeated when they host Indiana on Saturday afternoon, and they’ll look to impress a long list of largely local prospects as several faces make their way for return visits.
Wisconsin verbal and Good Counsel (MD) four-star RB Dilin Jones is on the visit list for this weekend for the first time this season, marking what would be his first visit to campus since his summer commitment to Wisconsin. Flowers (MD) four-star CB Braydon Lee, however, is no stranger to Maryland as this weekend will mark his third consecutive home game as the Terps are in hot pursuit down the stretch. Lee heads into October as a priority flip target with continued mutual interest down the stretch. Holy Cross verbal and Archbishop Spalding (MD) WR RJ Newton picked up an offer after his last visit to Maryland with Malik Washington and the Flowers twins as the staff has kept up with him since then. Chester (PA) TE Dominic Toy will make his second visit to campus this calendar year, but his first as an offered prospect. Toy shines both ways and is committed to the Huskies as a tight end, though could materialize into a defensive line target for Maryland.
'25 Good Counsel four-star SAF Faheem Delane is on the visitor list for the fourth consecutive weekend, while '25 Archbishop Spalding (MD) four-star QB Malik Washington will be back on campus for his second consecutive home game as the Terps continue to solidify themselves among his top schools with both coordinators, Brian Williams and Josh Gattis, leading the way. ‘25 IMG Academy (FL) LB Parker Meese made his way to campus last summer and came away thoroughly impressed as head coach Mike Locksley left an impression on he and dad. With several blue bloods already throwing their hats into the ring, this weekend will mark Meese’s first gameday experience in College Park.
’25 St. Frances (MD) WR Jeremiah Koger has turned heads with a few big plays along the sideline for the Panthers as they look to turn around the 2023 season, but Koger will be on campus for his second visit of the season. His teammate, WR Elijah Pedro, was among the long list of players who made the offseason transfer to St. Frances, and among the few who’ve stuck, as he makes it in for his second game of the season. Safeties coach Zac Spavital is the area recruiter for Cheshire Academy (CT) WR Teriq Mallory as he’ll make his way onto campus for his first game of the season.
Having DJ Samuels in the program helps Maryland get its foot in the door with future recruiting efforts at Bergen Catholic and after extending '25 cornerback Marquet Dorsey back in June, the 6-foot cornerback will head to campus this weekend for his first gameday as an offered target. Cornerbacks coach Henry Baker is leading the charge on the early New Jersey target.
Both Riverdale Baptist (MD) four-star duo Jayvon McFadden and Cortez Harris are on the visitor list for this weekend and told IBG on Friday night they expect to visit.
St. Joseph’s Prep (NJ) four-star LB Cam Smith picked up an offer earlier this week as he returns the favor with his first visit as an offered target, as will Penn State commit and Malcolm X Shabazz (NJ) SAF three-star Omari Gaines. Wide receiver coach Gunter Brewer extended Community School of Davidson (NC) TE Brandon Hettwer an offer back in July as the 6-foot-5 tight end—and baseball star—first visited campus for the spring game. Maryland was actually the second Power Five offer for Maury (VA) RB Leon Clark back when former assistant Zohn Burden was with the program with Latrell Scott picking up the slack since. Ardrey Kelly (NC) IOL Brandon Stoner doesn’t hold an offer yet, but made his way onto campus back in June for the Big Man camp.
Maryland extended ‘26 Mandarin (FL) WR Ethan Sherman an offer during the spring evaluation period as he makes his way onto campus for his first game. So will Indian Land ATH Camdin Portis, the son of former Washington running back Clinton Portis, and teammate SAF Brysen Conner. Maryland extended an offer to ‘26 Hugenot RB Markel Dabney over three years ago when former assistant Brawley Evans was with the program, as assistant Latrell Scott has since picked up the early pursuit. ’26 Trinity Episcopal (VA) OT Brady Sakowitz picked up an offer during camp back in June as he makes his way back for his first unofficial visit.
