Terps in the NFL: week seven

We take a look at how former Terps fared last weekend:

For the second time in three weeks, Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland kicked a game-winning field goal, this time a 32-yarder as time expired Monday Night against the Chargers, while Chargers corner Tarheeb Still had three tackles.

In the other Monday Night matchup, the Ravens took down the Bucs 41-31. Beau Brade was inactive, while Yannick Ngakoue was in on two tackles. Bucs receiver Rakim Jarrett is on IR, though was designated to return ahead of the primetime matchup in a move that could move large. The Bucs saw Chris Godwin go down with a season-ending injury while Mike Evans’s status is sidelined for the next three games due to a right hamstring injury. Jarrett was listed as a full participant in Wednesday’s practice.

Staying in London proved big for the Jaguars, as they won their second game there, 32-16, over New England as safety Darnell Savage had three tackles.

Bills running back Ty Johnson scored his third touchdown on the season on a four-yard reception from Josh Allen. Buffalo overcame a slow start to beat Tennessee 34-10. Titans tight end Chig Okonkwo led the team in receiving yards with 50 on four catches. Tackle Jaelyn Duncan started his second game of the season, though he suffered a hamstring injury on the first drive with his status in doubt for week eight.

The Browns went through three quarterbacks in their 21-14 loss to the Bengals. Offensive lineman Michael Dunn started his second straight game, while defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson was inactive.

Stefon Diggs and the Texans had their worst performance through the air in a 24-22 loss to the Packers. Diggs had five catches for 23 of Houston’s 86 passing yards.

In a defensive struggle with Miami, Nick Cross and the Colts came out on top 16-10. Cross finished with nine tackles.

Saquon Barkley ran all over the Giants in his return to the Meadowlands, gaining 176 yards on just 17 carries in a 28-3 win. New York corner Deonte Banks had six tackles, while the Giant offense still hasn’t had a passing touchdown at home in 2024.

Raiders tackle DJ Glaze started his fourth straight game as Las Vegas lost 20-15 to the Rams. Jakorian Bennett collected four tackles, while DJ Turner rushed the ball once for four yards and caught two passes for 13 yards.

In a Super Bowl rematch, the Chiefs came out on top again against the 49ers, 28-18 as 49 Francisco defensive tackle Sam Okuayinonu had three tackles.

Spencer Anderson was a reserve lineman for the Steelers, as they put up 37 points in Russell Wilson’s debut this year knocking off the Jets.

Bears DL Byron Cowart & WR DJ Moore were on a bye.
