Terps in the NFL: Week Four

A handful of Terps found the endzone this weekend, while one rookie made his NFL debut and another made his first career start. A recap of how Terps fared in the NFL in week four:

WR Stefon Diggs got the Texans scoring started against Jacksonville with a six-yard TD run and finished second on the team with five catches for 69 yards, as Houston won 24-20 thanks to a final TD drive with 18 seconds left. While he's recorded 69 receiving touchdowns in his career, this weekend's touchdown marked Diggs' first rushing touchdown since joining the NFL.

Giants corner Deonte Banks had a rough Thursday night covering Ceedee Lamb. Banks gave up a 55-yard TD reception that proved to be the difference in the Cowboys 20-15 win. He finished with 2 tackles.

Chargers corner Tarheeb Still recorded his first career sack after bringing down Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes in his NFL debut, finishing with five tackles. However, even though the defense held the Chiefs to 17 points the offense couldn’t score after their first two drives, and fell 17-10.

OL Spencer Anderson didn’t get the start for the Steelers’ 27-24 loss to the Colts but came in after James Daniels was knocked out of the game. Colts safety Nick Cross finished with eight tackles as he and teammate EJ Speed lead the league in that category.

Raiders receiver DJ Turner scored an 18-yard rushing TD that put them up 20-10 and would win 20-16 over the Browns. “I'm probably going to reflect on that a little bit more tonight when I get around my family and talk to some of my friends. But for right now, it's great just to get the win and step up big time while a couple guys are out,” Turner said after the game. Corner Jakorian Bennett finished with three tackles and a pass defended, while OT DJ Glaze allowed just one pressure in his first career NFL start.

“[Jackson Powers-Johnson and DJ Glaze] stepped in and played huge roles in our win today, against a really good defense, a really good defensive front," said Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew II after the win. "Those dudes stepped in, didn't hesitate and did exactly what we needed him to do.”

In a 30-13 beatdown of the New England Patriots, 49ers defensive lineman Sam Okuayinonu finished with two tackles, a QB hit, and a tackle for loss.

Bears WR DJ Moore caught his first touchdown pass of the season in the Bears’ 24-18 win over the Rams. Defensive tackle Byron Cowart was evaluated to the roster before the game but recorded no stats.

Bills’ RB Ty Johnson scored Buffalo’s only touchdown on a three-yard carry in a 35-10 loss on Sunday night against Baltimore.

Titans TE Chig Okonkwo closed out the weekend with five yards on one catch, but had a target in the endzone as Tennessee secured its first win of the season.
