TE Damon Hall becomes 17th signature for Maryland football during early signing period

On the morning of the final day of the early signing period, Maryland football announced its 17th and final commitment ahead of midyear enrollees with St. Frances three-star tight end Damon Hall officially signed with the program.

Hall, a 6-foot-4 tight end, initially committed to Maryland in August of 2024 before eventually becoming one of three signees out of the Baltimore powerhouse in the 2026 cycle. Hall is also one of seven in-state commitments for head coach Mike Locksley this cycle after placing an emphasis on the local talent.

Co-defensive coordinator and cornerbacks coach Aazaar Abdul-Rahim led the way with the Baltimore native where he adds length to the tight end room, anchored by Dorian Fleming with local products Javonte ‘JJ’ Williams and Brayden Marko also signed. Like Williams, Hall will become the 12th early enrollee in Maryland’s class alongside high school teammates, five-star edge Zion Elee and three-star cornerback Hakim Satterwhite.

“It’s really been my dream school since I was very young just because it’s my hometown,” Hall told IBG ahead of his announcement. “Coach Aazaar [Abdul-Rahim], I’ve been talking with him. It’s been great. I really like him as a coach. I knew once I talked to him. He really opened it up for me a lot.”

Hall emerged as the Panthers’ go-to target in the passing attack as a junior, stepping in as a hybrid tight end with Michigan, Auburn, South Carolina, Florida, Penn State and Colorado among the Power Four schools to extend verbal offers.
