Second ODU skill player transferring to Maryland football

Days after landing Old Dominion running back Trequan Jones for the first portal commitment of the offseason, head coach Mike Locksley and Maryland football have the second portal commitment of the offseason in the fold with Old Dominion WR Na'eem Abdul-Rahim Gladding now announcing his commitment.


Gladding, a 6-foot, 198-pound wide receiver, joins the program with two years of eligibility remaining after visiting this weekend alongside Jones.


After becoming a rotational piece in 2024, Gladding stepped into the starting lineup and became an impact piece for the Monarchs in 2025 after posting 667 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 13 starts. He also finished the season with two drops on 88 targets.

Gladding recorded two 100-yard receiving games in 2025 and recorded three catches in his first eight games of the season and ten games total to lead the team.


The shifty wideout is ranked the 307th best overall available prospect and 51st-best wide receiver in the portal as he ended the season named a Sun Belt honorable mention selection, giving Maryland an impact piece at a position of need after all three starting wide receivers exhausted their eligibility.


With Jones and Gladding officially in the fold, Maryland could also add another add another from Middle Tennessee in wide receiver Nahzae Cox after he officially visited College Park on Sunday, Jan. 4.
