Maryland will utilize a running clock during Saturday's spring game as head coach Mike Locksley knows what he wants to see out of his team today.
“It will be a vanilla, a watered-down gameplan on offense, defense because again, I want to see us go back to the roots of playing kind of how you do in your backyard,” he said on Thursday. “Good old fashioned Saturday game where you go out and you run, block, tackle, catch, throw the ball or score touchdowns. Do all the things, the football fundamentals that we always talk about, I like to see us do them at a very high level. I wanted to be really competitive game. The way is broken up, this should be a very competitive game like it has been the last couple of times we've been able to do it.”
