Release: Maryland football spring game set for Saturday, April 30

Shell-N-Tell and Old Line Tailgating Club are partnering for a joint tailgate on Saturday ahead of the spring game! Join us in Lot 1 beginning at 9:30 AM as Ben Page, founder of Old Line Tailgating Club, sits down with us.


Sophomore forward Julian Reese will join us as a guest beginning at 10 AM where he'll talk about the offseason, the beginning of the Kevin Willard era and his upcoming season.


Former Maryland offensive lineman Ellis McKennie will join us as a guest beginning at 10:15 AM to recap head coach Mike Locksley's first three years as we prepare for year four. We'll close out the show with Mason Viener, co-host of Inside the Bag and host of Terp Talk, as we prepare for the spring game and talk about the 2022 Terrapins.

Spring Game Details


The University of Maryland football team will hold its annual Red-White Spring Game on Saturday, April 30 at Noon at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium. Admission to the game and parking throughout most of campus is free of charge in conjunction with Maryland Day. The Red-White Spring Game will also air live on Big Ten Network and be streamed on the Fox Sports App. More details about the Spring Game and the events surrounding the game are below. Led by fourth-year Head Coach Michael Locksley, the Terrapins will begin spring practice on Tuesday, March 29. Maryland will hold 15 practices, culminating with the Red-White Spring Game. The Terps are coming off a 2021 season in which they posted a winning record and defeated Virginia Tech in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl. Maryland returns eight starters on the offensive side of the ball, including all five offensive linemen, record-setting quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa and All-Big Ten receivers Dontay Demus Jr. and Rakim Jarrett. According to ESPN SP+ rankings, the Terps boast the 10th-rated returning offense in the FBS and second-rated returning offense in the Big Ten. On the defensive side of the ball, Maryland welcomes back seven starters, including 2021 All-Big Ten selections Jakorian Bennett and Ami Finau. Spring Game Information

Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium Access: Gate I (South side) will be open at 11 a.m. Concession stands will be open on the South side of the stadium. Click here for directions to Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium. Parking and admission are free. Tickets are not needed for entry to the stadium. Select-A-Seat Event: Starting at 11 a.m. fans will have an opportunity to select seats in our premium seating areas, as well as seating areas in the bowl for the 2022 season, which features seven home games at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium. A variety of season ticket options are available, starting at just $155. Available seats to purchase as season tickets will be marked throughout the stadium. Donor Appreciation Day: All Terrapin Club donors are invited to a tent on the West Concourse with free food and beverages. An invitation from the Terrapin Club with a link to RSVP will be sent the week of March 28. Terp Trot: The second annual Terp Trot 5k will be held on Saturday, April 30 at 9am beginning at the Field Hockey/Women's Lacrosse Complex. Register today by clicking here. Polar Bear Plunge: An on-site Polar Bear Plunge will take place in support of Special Olympics Maryland with some special guest plungers from the University of Maryland Athletics! Special Olympics Maryland provides sports and health programming for over 8,000 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the state of Maryland. Postgame SAAC Fan Fest: Following the game, the Maryland Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will host a Fan Fest on the West Concourse, featuring:

  • Autograph Session with Head Coach Michael Locksley and the Maryland Football Team

  • Youth Activities Hosted by Maryland Student-Athletes

  • Inflatables & Lawn Games

Parking: Free parking is available in Lot Z and throughout most of campus in conjunction with Maryland Day. Fans are encouraged to follow all posted parking signage. Clear Bag Policy: While not in effect for the Spring Game, Maryland Athletics will continue its clear bag policy for the 2022 Maryland football season. For more information click here.
