Maryland football continues to add more elite talent to their June 23 official visit weekend as two more four-stars are expected to return to College Park with two more local four-stars set to return to campus. Good Counsel (MD) four-star running back Dilin Jones has reworked his official visit schedule and will close the month out with an official visit to Maryland the weekend of June 23, the weekend he originally planned to officially visit Florida State. Jones has long been a top target for Maryland and has visited College Park more than any other program involved in his recruitment, while both the Badgers and Seminoles have been in hot pursuit with Virginia Tech hanging around in his recruitment. But with priority target wide receiver Elijah Moore also set to officially visit Maryland that weekend, the staff will have a chance to pitch the need for an elusive back in the class with Jones and four-star Dejuan Williams on campus. “Everything’s been good. I talk to every day. Everything is good with him. They do a good job of reaching out to me,” Jones previously told IBG. Jones also took a pair of unofficial visits to Maryland in the spring with the most recent visit giving him a chance to sit down with running backs coach Latrell Scott. “I had a meeting with him a couple of weeks ago, I came up to campus. I sat with the other running backs too so that was good.” He isn't the only one headed to campus that weekend as Gilman (MD) four-star athlete Dejuan Lane is also set to officially visit the weekend of June 23. Lane recently included Maryland in his top group alongside Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame and Penn State with a summer commitment expected as the reserved, yet explosive athlete inches closer to a decision. Lane has drawn projections as a safety and outside linebacker at the next level, but for Maryland, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound athlete is exactly that--an athlete on Maryland's recruiting board. Lane not only stars on the gridiron, but has put his blazing speed on display in track after posting a 10.4 in the 100-meter this spring one year after qualifying for states in both the 100 and 200-meter. Lane will kick off his visits with a trip to Happy Valley this upcoming weekend and while there's confidence in Happy Valley that Lane may ultimately land there, there's been plenty of buzz pointing to the Irish as the team to beat heading into June.
