Nearly one week after the bulk of the 2026-27 roster arrived, Maryland men's basketball announced its lone staff vacancy has now been filled.
Former Michigan State strength coach Marshall Repp has joined the program filling the same title, director of strength and resilience, that Steve Gephardt once held. After one year with the program and arriving with head coach Buzz Williams, Gephardt departed the program following the 2025-26 season for the same role with Georgia Tech men's basketball.
"We are excited to have Coach Repp join us! The variety of his experiences, including having been in this league, will give us traction immediately," said Williams via release. "Experience is always a factor, but never more important than the character and the intangibles that are paramount for any of our staff members. I have great belief in Marshall and believe the trustful relationships he will build with each of our guys will be life changing."
Repp spent six seasons at Michigan State beginning in 2017 where the Spartans saw seven players drafted during his time with the program after initially arriving as a grad intern, then being named the Spartans' assistant strength and conditioning coach for men's basketball, women's basketball and volleyball. Repp also spent time at Eastern Michigan prior to his time at Michigan State, while his most recent stint was outside of college athletics after serving as the one tasked with designing strength and conditioning programs for Navy SEALS, along with "management of sports science software for testing and performance analytics."
