Big Ten basketball will look a bit different this fall with the addition of the four former Pac-10 teams to the conference, and on Wednesday afternoon, fans got a glimpse into who Maryland men's basketball will face after the Big Ten released home and away matchups for the 2024-25 conference schedule. Home & away: Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State Home only: Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan State, Rutgers, UCLA, USC, Wisconsin Away only: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, Washington The home game vs. USC will mark the first between the two teams since 1990 while Maryland has never faced either Oregon or Washington. Maryland and UCLA split the home-and-home series over the last two seasons with the road team winning both matchups, highlighted by a career-high 37 points from Jahmir Young in the late December win. The conference slate features ten teams inside Jon Rothstein's preseason rankings with Purdue, Ohio State and Indiana considered among the top contenders in the Big Ten, while Maryland has been a fringe preseason top-25 selection with rosters closer to settled on the final day of the portal window. Maryland also drew an eight-seed in the way-too-early ESPN 2025 bracketology, drawing NC State in the West Region. Via release: Season tickets for the 2024-25 season are now on sale starting at $199. Maryland Young Alumni (those who graduated within the last five years) receive a 48 percent discount on season tickets, while current Maryland Parents who have a student enrolled for the year are eligible for a 20 percent discount on two season tickets. Maryland has one of the top incoming transfer classes in the Big Ten: Ja'Kobi Gillespie (Belmont), Selton Miguel (South Florida), Rodney Rice (Virginia Tech) and Tafara Gapare (Georgia Tech). Additionally, the Terps signed five-star McDonald's All-American Derik Queen (Baltimore) and four-star guard Malachi Palmer (Harrisburg, Pa.).
