Maryland football releases injury report vs. Michigan State

Maryland football has released its first injury report of conference play with kickoff against Michigan State set for 3:30 PM. The Terps will enter Saturday’s kickoff relatively healthy with DL Isaac Bunyun the lone contributor not available against the Spartans on Saturday. Bunyun joins LB Neeo Avery, running back Ramon Brown, offensive lineman Andre Roye and tight end Josh Jennings among those out. Maryland did not rule anyone as 'questionable' heading into kickoff. Bunyun finished with seven snaps in last Friday's win vs. Virginia after leaving early with what appeared to be a lower leg injury. Avery is still looking to make his season debut as head coach Mike Locksley tabbed the former four-star as "an impact player from day one, for sure." Brown, meanwhile, was spotted back with the running backs during the open portion of Tuesday's practice as the former four-star inches back to make his season debut. Michigan State, however, enters Saturday with a long list of players out on their injury report versus Maryland. DB Chuck Brantley, DB Semar Melvin DB Marquis Lowery, RB Jaren Mangham, RB Jalen Berger, DL Khris Bogle, DL Dre Butler, LB Jacoby Windmon, LB Ma'a Gaoteote, LB Quavian Carter and OL Cole Dellinger were all ruled out while TE Tyneil Hopper and RB Jojo Martinez suffered season-ending injuries. Defensive back Caleb Coley, defensive lineman Jarrett Jackson, linebacker Harold Joiner III and OL Geno VanDeMark were all ruled as 'questionable.' One week after allowing over 700 yards of total offense, the Spartans will look to replace ample production on defense with Brantley, Bogle and Windmon all out. As of 2 PM, Maryland has moved to a seven-point favorite per DraftKings.
