Maryland football announces non-conference TV & kickoff times with Friday night game on the 2025 schedule

Maryland football has announced kickoff times and TV designations for the nonconference portion of the 2025 schedule.

In the first matchup between the two teams, Maryland will open the season vs. Florida Atlantic on Saturday, August 30 with kickoff set for 12 PM on BTN.

Maryland will then host a Friday night matchup vs. Northern Illinois in week two with kickoff set for 7:30 PM on BTN. This marks the first matchup between the two since the Huskies pulled out the win back in 2004, though the Terps won the first two matchups.

Maryland will then wrap up non-conference play on Saturday, Sept. 13 against Towson with kickoff set for noon on Peacock. Maryland is 3-0 all-time against Towson.

Saturday, Aug. 30: FAU at Maryland | Noon | Big Ten Network

Friday, Sept. 5: Northern Illinois at Maryland | 7:30 pm | Big Ten Network

Saturday, Sept. 13: Towson at Maryland | Noon | Peacock

The Terps have not lost a non-conference game since 2019 and lead the nation with 15 consecutive non-conference wins. Maryland has wins over Virginia Tech, West Virginia, NC State, Virginia (twice) and Auburn during the streak, which is the longest such streak for Maryland in the last 40 years.

Times for Maryland’s 2025 Big Ten schedule have not yet been finalized, though Maryland will host Washington, Nebraska, Indiana (homecoming) and Michigan while traveling to Wisconsin, UCLA, Rutgers, Illinois and Michigan State.
