Central Michigan DL Quindario Lee sees fit during official visit to Maryland

After taking an official visit to Minnesota last week, former Central Michigan defensive lineman Quindario Lee wrapped up another weekend visit since entering the portal, this time making his way to Maryland. Maryland jumped into the mix with an offer last week after inside linebacker coach Lance Thompson was able to go in-home with the rising junior, while defensive coordinator Brian Williams met with Lee's parents to solidify the official visit. After spending time with Tre Colbert and Dylan Wade during his official visit this weekend, Lee walked away impressed with the  Terps. "The facilities, they were pretty good. Academically, what they've got going on is really good. I liked the stadium, that stood out too. I loved it honestly," Lee told IBG. Saturday night included a trip to D.C. where the visitors toured downtown and had dinner, but sitting down with defensive coordinator Brian Williams to learn how he fits into the Terps' scheme stuck out. "He actually put up a few plays on the board and everything, just showing me that. They see me more on the end position. I think I fit pretty well with what they do." Lee isn't shutting down his recruitment just yet with one more visit planned in January: Georgia. "I know I'm taking one more, maybe two more," Lee added. Maryland will now look to wait to see how the Bulldogs' pursuit fares, but Lee knows why Maryland remains in the mix. "Coach BWill and coach Lance. They're really interested in me. Coach Locksley, I got a chance to sit down with me and you could tell they're really interested in me. As long as they keep contacting me, I'll know that the relationship there is real," Lee added. "I left on a good note." Quindario Lee began his college career at Fort Scott C.C. before redshirting at Central Michigan in 2021. Lee totaled 44 tackles, 12 TFLs and five sacks in 22 games over his last two seasons. He has two years of eligibility remaining. Related Links
