Big Ten releases Maryland men's, women's basketball TV, tipoff times for 2025-26 season

The last bit of details have been released for Maryland men’s and women’s basketball’s 2025-26 seasons.
Maryland men’s basketball will draw at least four nationally televised games. The first is the Big Ten opener vs. Michigan, set to air on FOX for an 8 PM tipoff. Maryland will also have consecutive games on CBS, the first vs. Michigan State for a noon tipoff on Jan. 24 before hosting Purdue for a 1 PM tipoff on Feb. 1. Maryland’s regular season finale vs. Illinois on March 8 will tipoff at 3 PM on FOX, while the Jan. 10 road game vs. UCLA will tipoff at 8 PM and will be flexed between FS1 and FOX.
The season-opener vs. Coppin State at CFG Arena will kick off at 6:30 PM on BTN while the home opener vs. Georgetown will tipoff at 6 PM on FS1 on Nov. 7.
Overall, Maryland drew nine games on BTN and eight on FS1 with three games on both Peacock and B1G+.
As for Maryland women’s basketball, head coach Brenda Frese and her squad will play 13 games on nationally TV including one on FOX, FS1, NBC, four on Peacock and six on BTN.
Maryland’s first nationally televised game will be vs. George Mason at 2:30 PM on Nov. 23 before taking on Minnesota for a 4 PM tipoff on BTN on Dec. 7.
The Terps will play six of seven nationally televised games, beginning with a Jan. 1 matchup at Illinois, which will be on the Big Ten Network. The Terrapins' Jan. 11 game vs. Ohio State, Jan. 15 game at USC and Jan. 22 game vs. Iowa will be on Peacock. Maryland's Jan. 18 matchup at UCLA is slated to be on NBC.
While the men’s picks have yet to be released, Maryland women’s basketball was picked to finish second behind UCLA in the 2025-26 preseason Big Ten selections with Kaylene Smikle one of two All-Big Ten preseason team selections.
