Maryland is back down to 11 commitments in the 2026 class.
St. Frances (MD) three-star safety Khmari Bing has reopened his recruitment after watching his stock soar through his senior season.
Bing, a 6-foot-2 safety, is days removed from an official visit to Ohio State and is slated to officially visit Alabama in November for the LSU game. Indiana has also been in pursuit where the familiarity with safety Byron Baldwin, who closed out his high school career at St. Frances, looms large with the Hoosiers.
Bing was the second commitment in Maryland’s 2026 class and was originally one of four from St. Frances to commit to the hometown program, giving the Terps juice at the Baltimore powerhouse. Bing was expected to be a tough flip from Maryland ahead of his official visits and pointed to his relationship with assistant Aazaar Abdul-Rahim down the stretch.
“They’ve seen what I was going to put on tape, they already knew. It’s just home. Every time I go there, I feel like home,” Bing told IBG. “They’re telling me how I’ll come in and play and how they’ve wanted me ever since my freshman, sophomore year.”
Maryland will now look to turn the tide with Bing despite a growing list of suitors through his senior season after recording a pick six in the season opener and following it up with an interception in Friday's win vs. The First Academy.
Maryland's 2026 class remains led by five-star Zion Elee, one of eight commits within the DMV this cycle.
