Maryland will look to have a long list of local visitors this weekend as two targets will make their way to campus when the basketball team hosts Nebraska.
Good Counsel (MD) three-star running back Dilin Jones will visit Maryland this weekend. It’ll be a big visit for the staff as the 5-foot-11, 180-pound running back didn’t end up making it to campus this fall for a game. In fact, Jones didn’t venture to many schools during his junior season as the soft-spoken running back was busy with his own games. Michigan, Florida, South Carolina, Auburn and Michigan State are among the schools that have extended offers thus far as Jones remains wide open with his recruitment heating up. After finishing as a second consecutive first team All-WCAC selection, Jones finished with 804 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on 86 carries.
Jones is rated a four-star prospect and a 92 overall by On3. He’s also the 105th-best prospect nationally and third-best in Maryland.
Jones won’t be the only one from Good Counsel as 2025 four-star safety Faheem Delane makes his way to campus. Faheem, the younger brother of VT cornerback Mansoor Delane, has held an offer since last June as the staff has had their eyes on the fast-rising safety since he joined the Falcon program. Faheem was one of five freshmen on the varsity team and stepped into a bigger role as a sophomore. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound safety already holds offers from Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M, Penn State and Boston College among others as he develops into the next blue chip prospect on a loaded Good Counsel defense.
Delane is rated a four-star prospect and a 90 overall by On3.
