Maryland’s schedule also features a matchup against South Carolina for the home opener on November 11. Exactly one month later, Maryland will host UConn as the Huskies come to College Park without star guard Paige Bueckers. Maryland will also travel to Notre Dame for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, travel to Baylor on November 20 and play in the Fort Myers Tip-Off against DePaul, Towson and Pitt.

After losing several key pieces from last year’s Sweet Sixteen squad, head coach Brenda Frese did what she always does: reloaded. Frese and the Terps added Brinae Alexander (Vanderbilt), Abby Meyers (Princeton), Elisa Pinzan (USF) and Allie Kubek (Towson) to a squad that already welcomed former Florida star Brinae Alexander. Diamond Miller, meanwhile, is back for her fourth season in College Park after scoring in double figures in all but five of her 22 appearances last year.

Maryland also signed Briana McDaniel and Gia Cooke late in the 2022 cycle to bring in a four-girl class alongside Mila Reynolds and Ava Sciolla.

The Big Ten will unveil the men’s conference slate on Thursday, September 8 at noon.
