Young Terps: Deflating week for Maryland basketball | Terps' 2024 NSD recap

Welcome back to the latest episode of Young Terps, where we dive into another deflating week for Maryland basketball before switching over to football after head coach Mike Locksley and the staff wrapped up the 2024 recruiting class. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkqybTQBF-Y After a disappointing 56-53 loss vs. Rutgers inside the Xfinity Center last week, Maryland basketball stumbled yet again on the road, this time to Ohio State in double overtime in a game the Terps let slip away down the stretch. “I mean, it was great effort by those guys on the floor the last really 15 minutes of the game, almost 20 minutes, including overtime," Willard said postgame. "We had our chances. We missed, Donta misses two free throws, missed his four free throws, had a couple of shots at the end. Give them credit. They made some tough shots at the end and I thought we got to come up with a way to get stops. Northwestern did it to us. Now Ohio State did it, Rutgers did it to us. Sometimes we just let a little bit of our offense, slippage go back to the other end. But unbelievable effort. We’re a free throw here or a shot away here, it seems like it’s been the whole year.” We dive into what it means for the state of Maryland basketball before switching over to Mike Locksley and the football program where they picked fans right back up on Wednesday. Maryland was able to flip Norland (FL) three-star defensive lineman Dimitry Nicolas from Auburn on the morning of signing day as we dive into how it happened and why it's impactful. Plus, we share our final thoughts on the 2024 class with Locksley's fifth full class now complete. Make sure to like and subscribe to Young Terps on your favorite streaming platform!
