What I’m Hearing: Future Opponent, Visitors, Consistent PG

  • I’m hearing that Maryland and UCF are nearing an announcement for a home-and-home in 2025 and 2028. It’ll be the third and fourth matchups between the two teams, who played at UCF in 2016 and in College Park in 2017. Maryland came out on top in the first matchup between the two teams, a thrilling overtime matchup that ended after former Terps QB Tyrrell Pigrome replaced Perry Hills and took a 24 yard rush into the end zone. UCF bounced back the following year as Maryland saw Kasim Hill go down with a first-half injury, paving the way for Max Bortenschlager as the starting quarterback. The matchup gives Maryland an opportunity to bolster their nonconference schedule while dipping back into Florida to strengthen their recruiting efforts in the Sunshine State.
