What assets did Maryland submit to EA Sports College Football 25?

Roughly one month away from EA's full reveal of EA Sports College Football 25 with an expected July 19 release date, over 12,300 student-athletes have opted into the game as fans anxiously await the chance to play as their favorite team eleven years after the last release date. Maryland will be well-represented in the game as 91 current Maryland student-athletes have opted into NCAA 25. Through a Freedom of Information Act request, IBG obtained what Maryland sent EA Sports to be included in the new-look EA Sports game.

As worn through the 2023 season, Maryland submitted its four Script Terps uniforms to be included in the upcoming release between the white, red, black and yellow combinations. With the option to include helmet preferences, Maryland submitted both the Red Terps and Flag Helmet to be included with both designated as ‘tier one’ assets, with tier one designated as must-have assets in the game. EA Sports also gave schools a chance to submit audio to be included in the game, but Maryland did not provide that information in the open records request.

While no shots of Maryland going in or out of the Mark L. Butler Tunnel were included, Maryland’s revamped videoboard inside SECU Stadium is also included as the Terps took the field with the new 120-foot-by-54-foot screen behind them for roughly the last three seasons. Along with a photo of the band in the stands and cheerleaders on the sideline, Maryland provided multiple assets of Testudo—both the mascot and statue in front of McKeldin Library. A shot overlooking McKeldin Mall was also provided to be included in the game.
