TV, kickoff details announced for Maryland football's week 11 game at Rutgers

Details for Maryland football’s week 11 road game against Rutgers are now set with the two teams set for a 2:30 PM kickoff on FS1 on Nov. 8, the Big Ten announced on Monday.

Maryland leads the all-time series, 12-8, and won five of the previous six matchups before Rutgers secured a 31-17 win in College Park last season. Maryland is 3-2 vs. Rutgers under Mike Locksley since Greg Schiano took over as head coach ahead of the 2020 season as Locksley is just 4-12 in November since 2021.

Rutgers snapped a four-game losing streak after drilling a last-second field goal at Purdue to secure a 27-24 win on Saturday while the Scarlet Knights will look to climb above .500 when they travel to Illinois this upcoming weekend. The Illini will also host Maryland after the Terps host Rutgers next week with Maryland looking to capitalize on the few winnable games still remaining on the 2025 schedule.

The upcoming matchup also marks one of three road games for Maryland in November with a road game against Illinois the following week, along with the season finale vs. Michigan State at Ford Field in Detroit. Maryland has split its two road games in 2025 as the program looks for its third winning record in road games since joining the Big Ten.

Maryland is set to host second-ranked Indiana this weekend in its first game on CBS since Nov. 28, 1986 when the Terps downed Virginia, 42-10.
