Trio of Maryland basketball signees inside top 100 in final 2026 rankings

Baba Oladotun remained a five-star in the latest update, checking in at ninth in ESPN’s update and 14th in On3’s. The move comes after Oladotun missed the entire regular season and half of Blake High School’s playoff run before drilling the game-winning bucket in his first game to send his team to the state championship, eventually beating Whitman, 60-44, to take the 4A title. Oladotun then got a chance to play in a handful of All Star games before he moves into College Park later this month.

Oladotun announced his commitment to Maryland over Georgetown back in Nov. with Arkansas and Kentucky rounding out his top group to give head coach Buzz Williams a marquee addition in the class.

“That says something about the man, to get people like that to come in and come with you wherever you go shows your leadership and how much you put people first. Not only that, people that worked with him in the past come join him because they know what to expect. That’s huge. Only Jesus people follow around like that,” Oladotun’s father previously told IBG. “This guy is amazing. Whatever he’s doing, he puts people first. It’s going to be the love for what he does and the system. Getting people to come with you from the athletic staff to the trainers to the strength person, it’s huge and shows his leadership and how much he loves his people around him. That, for me, that says a lot about Buzz.”

Maryland would nearly get a second signee inside the consensus top 50 with On3 ranking Kaden House as the 35th best prospect in the class compared to ESPN slotting the 6-foot-3 shooting guard as the 55th-best prospect. Yet after building a profile as a scorer, House transitioned into more of a facilitator as a senior after finishing the season with 3.7 assists to his 14.7 points per game.

The final top-100 selection was Putnam Science forward Adama Tambedou, who checked in as the 95th-best prospect in On3’s ranking. The athletic power forward is fresh off being named an MVP selection at the Iverson Classic after posting 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting along with two rebounds, two steals and one block. Tambedou committed to Maryland after assistant Wabissa Bede spearheaded efforts on the 6-foot-7 four-man where he will look to stabilize the frontcourt as a freshman.

Lufkin (TX) three-star forward Austin Brown, the first commitment of the cycle, was excluded from both updated rankings with On3 ranking the 6-foot-8 shooter as the 193rd-best prospect in the composite rankings. Brown ended his career named a two-time All State selection, a three-time All Region selection and District MVP while becoming his school’s all-time leading scorer with 2,616 points.
