Maryland will return home on Saturday to host Illinois, and they’ll do so with another long list of visitors and verbal commits back on campus with a group from New Jersey and SFA headed to College Park. We break down who is expected on campus:

2024
Lord Botetour (VA) IOL DJ Toliver will make his way to campus for his first game of the season as the Virginia lineman was on the radar earlier in the season. The projected interior lineman was originally eyeing a camp at Maryland back in June before plans materialized. Toliver hosts multiple verbal Power Five offers with his recruitment in a holding pattern through the fall. Maryland extended a verbal offer to Neumann Goretti (PA) DL Deshon Dodson back in April and has kept tabs on his recruitment with other Power Five schools in wait-and-see mode through the summer. Both coordinators, Josh Gattis and Brian Williams, are the area and position coordinators as the Terps have been in contact in recent weeks, making this weekend’s visit his first of the season. Eastside (NJ) LB Fatim Diggs, the younger brother of Texas A&M DL Fadil Diggs, has a close relationship with offensive analyst Preston Brown as he and teammate Eastside (NJ) SAF Willy Love make their way onto campus for their first game of the season. Churchill (MD) RB David Avit, the younger brother of freshman WR Zeke Avit, will make his way back to campus though he does not hold an offer.
2025
Friendship (DC) three-star DT Bryce Jenkins has been a top target and continued his strong play that began in the spring into his junior season as he’s expected to make his way to campus. Wise (MD) four-star DE Trent Wilson will also make his way to Maryland for his second visit of the season as the hometown team is turning the tide with the top-150 target. Wilson is joined by Wise (MD) ATH Peyton Nelson, who also transferred from SFA after the season opener. Nelson is a shifty playmaker who initially showed flashes during his time at Good Counsel and could be a special teams weapon at the next level.
St. Joe’s Prep (NJ) four-star LB Cam Smith was slated to visit for the Indiana game, days after picking up the offer, but the new target told IBG he’ll make his way to campus this weekend after updating his recruitment earlier in the week. Smith’s teammate and three-star IOL Kahlil Stewart will also make his way to College Park as Maryland was among the first Power Five teams to extend an offer to the 6-foot-4 lineman. Freedom (VA) three-star RB Jeff Overton has warmed up to Maryland over the last year as Saturday’s visit marks his second trip to College Park this season with assistant Latrell Scott doing well in the pursuit.
City College (MD) three-star WR Vernon Allen is a top target at the position next cycle with teammate and Maryland verbal Jahmari Powell-Wonson helping as much as he can, and both will visit Maryland on Saturday. Matoaca (VA) WR Bryce Yates and SFA (MD) WR Jeremiah Koger are both high on Maryland early in the process with assistant Gunter Brewer establishing a tight-knit relationship with both through the summer. This weekend will mark the first visit for Yates and the second for Koger this season. Warwick (VA) three-star ATH Messiah Delhomme is also a big part of Maryland’s recruiting efforts in Virginia next cycle as they get a chance to roll out the red carpet on his first visit of the season.
Blake (MD) RB Jeremiah Seaton, younger brother of five-star OL Jordan Seaton, will make his way back to College Park. Jordan was considering an unofficial visit to Maryland this weekend but is expected to return for another visit this offseason.
Eastside (NJ) three-star LB Calvin Johnson Jr. will join teammates Fatim Diggs and Willy Love as the Terps are among his early offers. Meanwhile, two more local 2025 targets are expected with Wise (MD) three-star LB DeCarlos Young and SFA (MD) LB/DB Bryce Deas both expected in College Park.
2026
Georgetown Prep (MD) OL Immanuel “Manny” Iheanacho has caught the eyes of multiple Power Five schools early in the process as Virginia Tech became the first Power Five to offer the 6-foot-4 lineman. Maryland hasn’t extended an offer yet, though, with assistants James Thomas and Brian Braswell teaming up early on. Eastside (NJ) LB Elijah Satchell will also make his first visit with the Terps an early offer with offensive coordinator Josh Gattis the area recruiter. Meanwhile, SFA (MD) DL Jayden Travers, OT Lamarcus Dillard and LB Maurice Medley will all make their way in. Dillard also been on the Terps’ radar ever since his high school career began at Rock Creek (MD). Maryland, PSU, Syracuse, BC, Michigan and Michigan State have all offered Medley, who has visited College Park on at least four occasions since picking up the offer last year.
2027
SFA (MD) WR James Branch was in Columbus to watch OSU’s game against Maryland last weekend, and now, he’ll make his way to College Park to watch the Terps take on Illinois. Maryland was the second offer for Branch, who also worked with the same trainer that RB Roman Hemby trained with.
