Maryland will look to secure bowl eligibility during this weekend’s homecoming game against Northwestern. With the last game in College Park until November 19 against Ohio State, Maryland will welcome yet another group of local prospects including a Virginia priority making his way back to campus. A pair of verbals will be on campus with Florida lineman Deandre Duffus back on campus and McDonogh lineman Tamarus Walker returns once more. Walker’s teammate will also be on campus in defensive end and Northwestern verbal Mason Robinson will also tag though Robinson isn’t considered a flip target. Calvert Hall (MD) WR Ricardo Cooper and St. Frances duo Donovan Dyson and Sam Greene are expected to visit this weekend. Tuscarora (VA) four-star offensive tackle Fletcher Westphal will return for his second game ever and first this season at Maryland. Inside linebacker coach Lance Thompson has made the towering 6-foot-8 prospect a priority and keeping his attention early in the process was a tall task, but after making the rounds to Clemson, Virginia Tech and Michigan State, he’ll head to College Park. Offensive tackle will be a position of emphasis next cycle and Westphal sits high on the position list. Another who sits high on the list is Gonzaga (DC) four-star DE DD Holmes, who will also make his first trip to campus and his first game visit of the season. He’s another who has Maryland in the mix of schools early with defensive coordinator Brian Williams leading the way. Meanwhile, both Flowers (MD) four-star CB Braydon Lee and three-star linebacker Kendric Council are on this weekend’s visitor list while in-state three-star QB Deshawn Purdie will make his way to campus. Offensive line coach Brian Braswell has established a close relationship with the dual-threat product out of Baltimore and the Terps have his attention early. Another quarterback the staff is high on and have an offer out to is Highland Springs (VA) three-star QB Khristian Martin, who had receiver coach Gunter Brewer on the sideline checking him out in person. Another 2024 quarterback headed to campus is Cardinal Newman (FL) QB Luke Warnock, who picked up an offer from the staff after impressing offensive coordinator Dan Enos during the first 7-on-7 scrimmage back in June. Outside linebacker coach and area recruiter James Thomas Jr. is leading the way and Saturday marks his first extended trip to College Park. Pallotti (MD) three-star OT Ryan Howerton has already visited for the SMU game and will return for his second trip this season, while Saint Anthony’s (NY) three-star TE KJ Duff will make his way with cornerbacks coach Henry Baker paving the way with New York recruiting. Maryland also offered Wyomissing (PA) OL three-star Caleb Brewer after analyst AJ Reisig extended the offer with tight ends coach Mike Miller leading. Canon-McMilan DE Kaeden Singleton and Freedom (VA) WR Kameron Courtney will also head to campus this weekend. Meanwhile, Orange (CA) teammates—2024 athlete Kobe Boykin and 2025 cornerback Jett White—weren’t able to make it for the Michigan State game due to weather and have rescheduled their trips for this weekend. 2025 Freedom (VA) WR Carleton “Juju” Preston will return for his second consecutive home game in College Park, while both Pennsylvania QB Luke Kosko and Archbishop Spalding (MD) CB Trent Gillis are expected. A handful of 2026 prospects will also visit, including Southside CB Somad Eaddy and Hurricane (FL) CB Laron Dues, WR Tyshawn Dues and OL DaRon Parks.
