With 26 Terps in the NFL, we take a look at how they fared in week two of NFL season, a week that saw half of its games decided by a touchdown or less.
The biggest highlight was Nick Cross, who led the Colts in tackles with seven and defended a pass as they won 29-28 on a last-second field goal after the Broncos were called for a personal foul, allowing them to retry the kick.
The Jaguars were hurt by a controversial pass interference against Travis Hunter late in the fourth quarter that led to a game-winning touchdown by the Bengals. Safety Darnell Savage had one tackle as Jacksonville fell to 1-1.
The offenses of the Cowboys and Giants combined for 77 points in a thrilling overtime win for Dallas. Giants corner Deonte Banks, who drew criticism from fans for effort on a handful of snaps, had six tackles and two tackles for loss, while safety Beau Brade had one tackle.
It was not a good day for the Bears as they fell to 0-2 after losing to the division-rival Lions 52-21. Receiver DJ Moore had five catches for 46 yards, and linebacker Ruben Hyppolite recorded one tackle.
Offensive lineman Corey Bullock and the Ravens rebounded after losing their week one matchup, blowing out the Browns 41-17.
Tennessee couldn’t hold onto a 13-10 halftime lead, dropping to 0-2 after the Rams scored 23 second-half points. Titans tight end Chig Okonkwo caught four passes for 35 yards.
WR Stefon Diggs and the Patriots picked up their first win of the season, scoring a touchdown with less than two minutes to go in a 33-27 win over division-rival Miami. Diggs had four catches for 32 yards, while Dolphins defensive lineman Jordan Phillips had three tackles and Dante Trader had two.
Despite being down quarterback Brock Purdy and tight end George Kittle, the 49ers won 26-21 over the Saints. Defensive lineman Sam Okuayinonu finished with a tackle.
Ty Johnson carried the ball twice for six yards as the Bills did not allow the Jets to score a touchdown until late in the fourth quarter, ending in a final score of 30-10.
Pittsburgh and offensive lineman Spencer Anderson dropped their first game of the year to Seattle, 31-17. They are also responsible for perhaps the biggest mistake of the week when Kaleb Johnson didn’t cover the kickoff in the endzone, allowing Seattle to recover it for a touchdown.
Chad Ryland made both of his field goals and three extra point attempts, as the Cardinals survived a late comeback from the Panthers to move to 2-0.
Eagles corner Jakorian Bennett played but didn’t record any stats as they took down the Chiefs in America’s Game of the Week.
After a defensive collapse in week one, Atlanta didn’t allow a touchdown and forced four turnovers in their 22-6 Monday Night win over Minnesota. Falcons linebacker Josh Woods had three tackles, while Vikings receiver Tai Felton has yet to record his first NFL catch.
Cornerback Tarheeb Still dazzled on Monday Night Football, finishing with nine tackles, two passes defended, and a tackle for loss, as the Chargers intercepted Geno Smith three times in a 20-9 win over DJ Glaze and the Raiders.
