Spread, TV, kickoff details finalized for Maryland football's home finale vs. Michigan

Details for Maryland football’s final home game of the 2025 season have been finalized with 18th-ranked Michigan set to head to College Park next Saturday, Nov. 22 for a 4 PM kickoff on the Big Ten Network.

The game will also kick off exactly 11 years after Maryland’s lone win against the Wolverines, a 23-16 under former head coach Randy Edsall in the program’s first season in the Big Ten. But Maryland will face a tougher test this time around with Michigan opening as an 11.5-point favorite in College Park.

Since 2021, Maryland is just 2-10 as home underdogs and 1-14 against ranked opponents with the lone win back in the 2022 Mayo Bowl vs. 23rd-ranked NC State.

Michigan heads to College Park next week standing 8-2 (6-1) after securing a 24-22 win at Northwestern on Saturday, after Dominic Zvada drilled a 31-yard field goal as time expired, holding off a Wildcat fourth-quarter comeback.

As for Maryland, they dropped their sixth consecutive game and now stand at 4-6 (1-6) ahead of Senior Day. The sixth consecutive loss came after a 24-6 loss at Illinois in a game that Maryland’s defense allowed over 200 rushing yards for the third consecutive week

Maryland has won on Senior Day just once under head coach Mike Locksley, a 37-0 win vs. Rutgers back in 2022, while Saturday marks the first meeting between the two teams since a 31-24 finish to wrap up the home slate in 2023. Maryland has also lost by exactly seven points in each of the last two meetings, though whether the Terps can find a way to turn around their season in what Mike Locksley has recently touted as “playoff football.”

“We'll keep pouring everything we have been to this team,” Locksley said after the latest loss. “There's no quit in this team. There's still a lot of fight. We're still playing for a lot. We have two opportunities left, as I just told our team, where we consider playoff football now. We don't win, we don't extend it, so we all understand that. We'll show up Monday. I know this team will keep fighting. They have all year long, have put themselves in position and we'll keep coaching them up. Have another great opportunity next week against Michigan at home, last opportunity for our seniors. And I know that our team will do a great job of playing with the right kind of effort and pride for those seniors in terms of being able to try to extend their season.”

Maryland will then head north to face Michigan State at Ford Field the following week to wrap up the 2025 season.
