Running back Antwain Littleton expected to enter transfer portal

Maryland saw second-year running back Ramon Brown hit the transfer portal at the beginning of December, and now the position is on the cusp of additional attrition with running back Antwain Littleton expected to enter the transfer portal. Matt Zenitz was the first to report. Littleton was an integral part of Maryland's rotation over the last two seasons as he posted 575 yards and seven touchdowns on 144 carries, along with adding 48 yards on nine receptions. Arriving in College Park approaching 300 pounds as a three-star signee out of St. John's (DC) in the 2021 cycle, Littleton drew consistent praise for his body transformation through his first season with the program. “We told Antwain that if you want to be a running back, you’re going to be held to the standard of running backs with the conditioning test. We can’t have any amendments to it because of your weight,” Locksley said last year. “He’s one of the guys that I think can be a person we point to when we talk about how our program develops players.” Now, running backs coach Latrell Scott will look elsewhere as Maryland looks to provide a jolt to its rushing attack next fall. Maryland signed one running back to close the 2024 cycle with St. Frances (MD) three-star DeJuan Williams set to early where he'll continue rehab on his ACL injury suffered in the spring. Maryland is also expected to return Roman Hemby in 2024 while Colby McDonald is the lone returning veteran in the room. Freshman Nolan Ray made one appearance in the 2023 season as he fills out the current running back room rotation for next season. North Carolina athlete Josiah McLaurin was also announced as a running back upon signing with Maryland. https://open.spotify.com/episode/06VFLB2Tk2Ol2ijqunjTkC?si=4b55bdea4af14b61 Related Links Braydon Lee, mom break down signing day flip to Maryland (+) Young Terps: signing day show recapping Maryland football’s 2024 classWhere Maryland football recruiting stands after day one of early signing period (+) Maryland flips South Carolina pledge Braydon Lee on signing day
