Recruiting: Maryland football welcomes long list of visitors, 2026 targets to track, 2027 target to know

After a monumental week of recruiting for Maryland men’s basketball with five-star Baba Oladotun officially signed, Maryland football will now look to do the same with its final home game of the 2025 season and several regional and out-of-state targets expected to visit campus.

Maryland welcomes a long list of targets across the 2026, 2027, 2028 and 2029 class this upcoming weekend with Ohio State DL pledge Cam Brickle along with 2027 five-stars Anthony Sweeney and Max Hiller among the targets expected to visit campus on Saturday.

That includes a top target making his long-awaited official visit to Maryland, giving the staff an in after decommitting from Penn State last month. Where does Maryland stand and who is the top competition down the stretch? Plus, another four-star target who is now trending away from College Park.

Meanwhile, head coach Buzz Williams has locked down his four-man recruiting class with Maryland men’s basketball now ranked inside the top five nationally, the first time the program has done so since the 2003 cycle featuring Ekene Ibekwe, DJ Strawberry, Will Bowers and Mike Jones. Where does Maryland turn next? Intel on a four-star target now done to four schools with visits wrapped up.
