Central Dauphin (PA) offensive tackle Anthony Robsock was already familiar with Maryland having visited campus a pair of times this spring, once for a spring practice and then again for the spring game just over one month ago. But the 6-foot-5, 275-pound tackle made his way back to College Park for the Big Man camp on Saturday where he was able to work closely with offensive line coach Brian Braswell, just weeks after the staff made the trip north to watch Robsock in practice. After meeting with head coach Mike Locksley following camp, Maryland became the first Power Five school to extend an offer and Robsock is set to return to campus this upcoming weekend for his official visit. “We just changed the visit, just got off the phone with coach Braswell about 30 minutes ago,” he told IBG. “They started contact with me about seven weeks ago during that contact period in May. They’ve been consistent.” https://twitter.com/mjfrecruits/status/1648122514407653376 Getting a chance to soak in hands-on coaching from Braswell gave Robsock a closer look at Braswell’s coaching style, another aspect that resonated with the Pennsylvania native. “I just like the way coach Braswell teaches his offensive linemen. He just seems like a really good guy. I like how he demands perfection from his linemen. I like how if you don’t take the right step, he’s going to call you on it even if it’s one inch off the correct area, he’s going to make you redo it and I like that as a coach.” With familiarity with the coaching staff, Robsock will look to see more of College Park as he gets a closer grasp of the program’s culture. “I’d like to see more of campus. I haven’t really had to see that as much. I’d like to meet some of the players and get to know them, see how they feel and understand the culture behind Maryland.” Robsock canceled upcoming camps to Pitt and West Virginia in favor of his Maryland official visit this weekend, while his latest camp was at Syracuse on Sunday with the Orange among the host of Power Five schools expressing interest. “I think the coaches were pretty excited about me. No offer on the table yet, but good competition. I learned a few more tips to help me for this season.” Rutgers, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Pitt, Syracuse, Penn State and Virginia Tech have all expressed interest and have been by to watch Robsock practice during the spring eval period, while the Hokies are working to get him on campus later this summer, but Robsock will give the Terps a long look during this weekend’s visit. “I’d probably hold off. It depends how the official visit goes. They’re at the top of my list right now and I’m excited to get there, see how it goes.” Robsock also recorded an 80-inch wingspan during Saturday’s visit.
