Maryland men's basketball adds exhibition game, announces 2026-27 non-conference schedule

Maryland men's basketball has officially announced the non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 schedule with a chance to watch the new-look team in mid-October.

Maryland will host West Virginia on Sunday, Oct. 18 for an exhibition game at Xfinity Center with fans expected in attendance. This marks a notable shift for Maryland, who previously held 'secret' closed scrimmages leading up to the regular season, but fans will now get a chance to see the new-look squad roughly two weeks before the regular season opener vs. Bucknell.

The lone addition to the non-conference schedule that was not previously reproted is a matchup vs. Morgan State on Tuesday, Dec. 15. Maryland has won six of the seven meetings between the two teams with the lone loss coming on a one-point loss at home back on Jan. 7, 2009.
