Overton, a 5-foot-10.5, 187-pound running back, included Duke, Maryland, NC State, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and West Virginia. https://twitter.com/JeffreyOverton1/status/1744168470411931832?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet The Virginia native has made himself a familiar face in College Park over the last two years, visiting for two games in both the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Inside linebacker coach Lance Thompson and running backs coach Latrell Scott are leading the way for Overon in the early stages, but the three-star prospect is coming off yet another productive campaign that ended in a state championship following a 42-34 win vs. Highland Springs. Overton dominated through his junior season en route to being named the Gatorade Player of the Year for Virginia, after posting 2,329 yards and 44 total touchdowns while also averaging over eight yards per carry in the state championship game as a junior. In his three seasons of high school football, Overton has rushed for nearly 6,600 yards and 102 touchdowns.
