Former Maryland starting center Josh Kaltenberger announced he's signing with the Los Angeles Chargers
The offensive line has been a priority for the Chargers heading into year two under Jim Harbaugh as the Pa. native now looks to become part of the solution opposite of former Maryland and current Chargers CB Tarheeb Still.
Kaltenberger, who transferred into the program from Purdue, had a strong season for the Terps. He started at center in all 12 games and surrendered just six hurries, tied for the fewest in the conference. Kaltenberger blocked for the third most productive passing offense in the Big Ten (275.7 ypg). In addition to his play on the field, Kaltenberger boasts three Academic All-Big Ten honors during his career.
Glen Miller heads to Kansas City
After producing six selections in the 2025 NFL Draft, the most in the modern draft era and since 1986, more Terps have signed on to the pros, including Glen Miller, who made his next move official just minutes after the draft ended.
Former Maryland safety Glendon Miller signed with the Kansas City Chiefs, who also signed Mike Edwards to the safety room this offseason.
Miller will now look to become the first Super Bowl champion out of the program since Jake Funk with the Los Angeles Rams.
Miller came to Maryland as a hard-hitting safety in 2020 and developed into the team’s top defensive back in 2024. He intercepted seven passes in the last two seasons, finishing second on the team in 2023 and tied for first in 2024. Along with the picks, Miller finished with 100 tackles, five tackles for loss, 14 passes defended, and two fumble recoveries.
"Like he is a poster child for what I hope this program can become for players because you know what? He's a great kid. He's smart. He's tough. Now we have to work on a reliable part because sometimes he didn't always do or where he was supposed to be. And I'm gonna just tell you right now, he's one of our leaders," Mike Locksley said of Glendon Miller.
Miller was a three-star recruit out of Ridgeview in Florida.
