Maryland football lands pair of Big Ten defensive lineman

Nearly one week after visiting campus, Maryland football has landed a pair of Big Ten defensive linemen transfers for the ninth and tenth portal commitments of the offseason.
Washington defensive linemen Armon and Jayvon Parker have announced their commitments after visit Maryland on Friday into Saturday. IBG reported on the duo on Tuesday as Maryland restocks the trenches.
Jayvon heads to Maryland as the experienced lineman after playing in eight games in 2022 where he amassed a sack and five tackles in 2022 in eight games before playing in all but two games in 2023, finishing with four tackles. His most productive season came in 2024 where he amassed ten tackles and 0.5 sacks before playing in one game in 2025, earning a redshirt to head to College Park. Armon, meanwhile, did not play during his first three seasons before making his debut in 2025, playing in eight games where he registered one sack and eight total tackles. He joins the program with multiple years of eligibility remaining.
The Parker brothers also head to College Park as the latest reinforcements in the trenches after Maryland already inked Derrick LeBlanc and Lavon Johnson while both Eyan Thomas and Bryce Jenkins return in 2026. It gives Maryland its deepest defensive line during the Mike Locksley era with the brothers able to capitalize on upgrading the rotation with Zion Elee, Sidney Stewart and Zahir Mathis all back off the edge.
